WHAT IS THE LATEST LSCS NEWS…

• 76,000 credit students and 14,000 in corporate and continuing education

• $1.1 billion annually in economic impact• Gates Grant for Completion by Design• Single Parent Scholarships - $1.5 million• Student Success Initiatives including Best Start Set a Goal Make a Plan Get Connected Get Involved

WHAT IS LSC FOUNDATION?

• Independent of the system but for the benefit of the students, faculty and programs

• Salaries and offices paid for by LSCS• 501c3 Type 1 Organization• Governed by an independent 25-member

community board with three system representatives – Chairman of Board of Trustees, Chancellor, and Designated Administrative Officer – VC External Affairs

• All funds managed separately from LSCS funds• Aldine Scholarship Foundation relationship

The Lone Star College Foundation is nationally recognized for its unique and innovative public and private

partnerships which generate financial resources to change lives.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Lone Star College Foundation’s mission is to change lives through student scholarships and quality

educational programs achieved by excellence in relationship building, fundraising, and investment

management.

PROGRAM FUNDS

• Over $1.42 million in support of academic programs

• Can be scholarships but are usually equipment, supplies, faculty development, field trips…

• Directed by a campus “Program Manager”

• College President signs off on creation of account and all funding

MINI-GRANTS

• $20,000 from LSC Foundation + $20,000 from LSCS

• Individual projects will range from $500 to $2,500 • Applications will be due to your college Primary
