Thousands of tourists all over the world come to this big grey stone building to see

the traditional ceremony of Changing the Guards.

It is the largest and richest museum in the world.It was founded in 1753. It has mountains of books.

It has a copy of every book published in this country.

These guards got their nickname during the time of

famine. When Londoners suffered from hunger the

guards were always given a ration of beef to keep them

loyal to the crown.

Tourists in London always want to visit … . They want to see the clock in its tower and to hear the bells. It is really a

bell.

It is the Royal residence. It was built in 1703. There are nearly 600 rooms and 3 miles of red

carpet in the palace. It is like a small town with a police station, a hospital, a bar, a cinema and a

swimming pool.

Khedive Ishmael of Egypt gave this old Egyptian

monument to Queen Victoria. It was brought to London in

1847.

It is one of the most beautiful places in London. In the middle of the square there is a column. Four

bronze lions look at the square from the monument. There are

two beautiful fountains in the square.

London Underground got such nickname because it looks like a long, narrow and dimly lit … .

It is one of the most famous and beautiful buildings in London. There is a Poet’s Corner in this

church . In 1952 Queen Elizabeth II was crowned there.
