A few years back my wife and I had a dream. We wanted to have all of our family under one roof. We found this beautiful property, and we all were instantly in love with it. The house was just right for our three families. Over a period of many months, we had the home professionally renovated and sectioned to three completely separate living areas. All electrical, all plumbing, new drainage, new roof, would be just the main infrastructure areas of improvements. New kitchens, new floors, new bathrooms, three complete front loading laundry sets, all equipped with new, brand-name appliances, completed the inside renovations. For safety, all suites have wired, interconnected, smoke and CO detectors. All suites have their own electrical panels, and independent water supply. Hot water comes from a tank-less, constant-supply, gas-heated boiler. The heating is a combination of electrical baseboard heaters, and electrical and gas fireplaces. The main garden suite has, in addition to the gas fireplace, a forced air furnace/air conditioner heat pump.
Our home sits in the middle of a 0.6 acre secluded property that is more of a garden and a park adorned with numerous gorgeous trees, than would be expected from a traditional city lot. The “back nine”, as our grandchildren affectionately call it, is a large grassy area suitable for a vegetable a garden, with water and electricity supply just a few meters away. Our grandchildren love to play there, and the blackberries are delicious.
Unfortunately, there comes time when job opportunities dictate changes, so we would like to offer this lovely home to another family to enjoy as much as we had.
