this is a project i completed for a drawing class: a book that i hand bound, and illustrated. It's a story- the story of my life in allegorical form. To read a version of my story, not in allegorical form, follow this link: http://www.facebook.com/notes/ed-a-fleming/my-life-story-broken-rusted-90s-bike-with-no-wheels/10150457841480547 to see the art in more detail: http://www.facebook.com/notes/ed-a-fleming/my-life-story-broken-rusted-90s-bike-with-no-wheels/10150457841480547

Transcript of little red bird

A word to all those who venture into these pages:

While reading, pay attention to what way the action is moving; you may find that you go from reading left to right, to right to life, or ʇɥbıɹ oʇ ʇɟǝן, thenupto down, and then back again- that’s how life is.

Look closely, explore.

This is a true story-

or at least- an allegory for a true story. I hope that you may find your own story in mine, and also perhaps,

your next chapter…

Dear friend,Thank you for coming with me on my journey and listening to my story; if you’d like to read a written version of my story- not in allegorical form (although I use allegories to tell it) click this link:

Just some clarifications about the book you just read:

The dark skinned man is Jesus Christ. This story doesn’t describe a ritualistic religion, it describes what the Bible says being a Christian is: A journey and adventure in a relationship with the God of the universe. A very tough one at many times, certainly, but full of wonder for sure.Have you found what your life longs for?

In Jeremiah 39:13, the Lord says, “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.”

“How shall this rhyme be told, upon a time once in a

time past gone...

Set down we are, in that world where sunlight reigns

and lights the faces young and beaming,

Warmth and smiles ever dreaming, coldness,

darkness, pressing onward to horizons, learning

Frome heroes, sporting and schemings, child doth

reach, stretching outward pressing, to be The heroe

and gain a heroes blessing...”
