a. Application scope:

1) Lighting recommendations for a variety of tasks carried out within hospitals and medical

premises, particularly tasks associated with clinical observation, treatment and care.

2) A room within which surgical, obstetrical and endoscopic procedures are preferred.

b. COI: an open-ended numerical scale ranking the suitability of a lamp for the purpose of visual

detection of the presence or onset of cyanosis.

In general, an index used to measure the comfort/suitability of a light source

c. The lower the value of the index, the better the lamp is deems to be for that purpose

d. Recommend values:

1. The CCT of lamps should between 3300K and 5300K. (Preferable 4000K)
