design brief:
Why Let’s Go?
Develop a mobile application based on sustainability for young parents.
Early insight: parents always need ‘stuff’ to do with their children.
We wanted to build an application with low barriers to entry (ie. not overtly ideological).
Intro DemoResearch Personas
We employed a number of research methods in order to better understand the problems and opportunities of this space.
•CompetitorResearch •Survey •FieldResearch •UserInterviews •StakeholderInterviews
how did we chart the course?

85% of participants want to instill their children with environmental consciousness.
74% of parents we surveyed use the internet tofindfamilyactivities.
71% rely on word of mouth as well.
75% of participants want more access to information about family-friendly local events.

Qualitative ResearchIntro DemoResearch Personas
We found that physical bulletin boards are major points of outreach for community based non-profits.
However we found that many organizations lackedacoherentwebpresence, andthatthere aren’t reliable aggregators.
Hencewehadtospendalotoftimelookingfor information online.
Weaskedthequestion:whatifwecouldputthe immediacy and bredth of a community bulletin in a mobile application?
the web vs. bulletin boards
Qualitative ResearchIntro DemoResearch Personas
Weinterviewedparentsandgrandparents, married couples and single moms. We tried tofindspecificinsightsabouttheday-to-daydetails of raising children.

Let’s Go! utilizes a very simple interface to connectparentstoevents,places,andnon-profitorganizationsintheircommunity.
Let’s Go! consolidates previously diffuse information into a mobile application.
