Aromaticity & Huckle’s Rule

Conditions:

Compound has to be flat and cyclic.

There has to be delocalized π electron cloud above and below the plane.

Each atomic P orbitals in the cyclic structure should stay parallel so that

overlapping is possible.

In the overlapping of P orbitals, (4n+2) number of π electrons

participate where n=0, 1, 2, 3 etc
