10 Positive Emotions 1.  Serenity: reducing negative stress and distress by countering them with

positive alternatives such as mindfulness

2.  Interest: finding something new or different that captures your attention, filling you with a sense of possibility

3.  Hope: the belief that things will be better, believing in success, well-founded optimism

4.  Inspiration: something that lifts us and fills us with positive energy

5.  Awe: the feeling of being overwhelmed or moved by beauty, poignancy, extraordinary goodness in the world that can fill our hearts

7.  Gratitude: the feeling of appreciation we have when something good comes our way or just for the everyday gifts that life brings, there is always something to be grateful for everyday if you notice it

8.  Joy: the feeling of a bright light, a spark, moments of joy also from small things such as a walk in the woods

9.  Pride: the feeling that can be generated by succeeding in an effort that that you are heavily invested in

10. Love: anything that creates this sense of attachment, affection or attraction.
