To concludewith the words of J. Baird Callicott, who inspired our cycle of seminars:
“The Environmental Crisis of the 20th century is before anything a crisis of ideas.
What we need is a NeoPresocratic Philosophy for the New Millenium, which raises anew the oldest questions of philosophy first posed by the Presocratics:
- What is the nature of Nature ?
- What is human nature ?
- What is the proper relationship between “man” and Nature ?”
