With a land area of 11,898Km2 and a population of29,797, Gulbene region has 1333 active enterprises,98% of those are micro and small enterprises, thosehave less than 49 employees and annual turnover notmore than EUR 10 million
With Forest sector(50%), agriculture(13%), and foodand beverages(6%), 69% of Gulbene’s enterprises isAgriculture; Taiwan imports more than 70% of itsconsumption of agricultural sector; Agriculture is theoverlapping interest between Gulbene and Taiwan

Taiwan, the 20th largest trade nation and the 22nd largest economy in the world, would like to share its development experiences to the nations shared same values such as Latvia to promote mutually beneficial relations
