2014 was a great year for Latina Model Magazine & the fashion industry in Los Ange-les as a whole. With our ever growing network of L.A. Latina Models & talented Latino designers it seems that we are on the pulse of the degree of influence Latinos in L.A. are having on the L.A. fashion scene. As this is the first ever online issue you can be rest assured we will continue to showcase established and up and coming Latinos in the fashion industry, not to mention the designers & models who come from Central & South America to showcase their designs on the runways of Los Angeles during LAFW.

For our first online issue we decided to showcase a very beautiful Italian Model Regina Sarapova. We met her at a fashion show event in Hollywood at the W Hotel enjoying a fashion show produced by Adolfo Sanchez. She expressed her enthusiasm and interest to produce a Los Angeles fashion shoot before she had to go back home to Italy. The two pieces provided to us were from her talented designer friend Patty Farinelli. Need-less to say this very tall Goddess with her beauty and awesome personality won us over and thus a relationship was created and we proceeded to produce a shoot for her.

The locations of these 3 images in this first issue were shot in well known L.A. landmarks and were shot in less than 4 hrs., when we wrapped we called it the fashion shoot on Red Bull!

This beautiful Latina Designer may be a small package by stature but as they say “Big things come in small packages”. Ximena showed her well known style of “Transformational and Ready to Wear” line for women recently at a very trendy furniture designer store in downtown L.A. just blocks from Staple Center.

The chosen location for her fashion show was a perfect setting to show off her new line that made the entire night filled with fun in the air matched with beautiful color and design which is totally expected when you of-ten dress Latina Celebrities like: Paulina Rubio, Barbara Mori, Alejan-dra Guzman, Belinda, Lorena Rojas, Ana de la Reguera and Cindy Vela.

It looks like Ximena’s success has no limits and we can only expect great things from her for many more years to come. See her entire line at ximenavalero.com By Leslie Gomez

The finality of L.A. fashion week can often be found in a converted warehouse that not only acts as a furniture warehouse but also acts as a very unique event venue in Culver City called Unici-Casa. This unique and chic venue looks pretty low key from the outside but upon entering you walk into a gallery of artistic & beautiful furniture pieces that not only make this venue amazing but speaks to what Uni-Casa is all about. During L.A. fashion week it always attracts the hottest most talented L.A. designers equally matching the hottest L.A. crowd walking through its doors.

If you ever get a chance to visit this beautiful & unique venue by all means do so and rest assured you’ll be telling your friends what an awesome time you had! Visit them at: UniciCasa.com By Veronica Munoz
