FEEDBACK

FM4 – Section A

YOU MUST ensure you have completed ALL of the Analysis boxes so you have

something to revise from.

FM4 – Section A

In Pairs, YOU MUST summarise the film into 5 Key Moments – for example: 1) The Robbery Gone Wrong2) Tsotsi kidnapping “Baby David” – Start of the ‘TT Movie’ (Judith Gunn)?3) Flashbacks that uncover Tsotsi’s problems4) Miriam and Tsotsi’s relationship –

For example does this (along with the flashbacks) ‘signify’ (De Saussure) an example of Tsotsi’s Oedipus complex (Sigmund Freud) whereby he “desires the Mother, but fears the Father”

5) Tsotsi is Arrested – Redemption? ‘New Equilibrium’ (Todorov)? Narrative Functions (Propp)

YOU SHOULD give examples – verbal, non-verbal & technical – to support HOW each stage represents EITHER a Negative Stereotype OR something spectators would associate with the text conveying the characters difficulties.

Task 2) – 10 minutes
