Meanwhile, Minister of Education and Ministerof Higher Education Dr Mohammad Al-Farispraised the participating students for their hardwork. “I admire the opportunity that was offered tostudents in Kuwait to draw the nature of Australia,as 6,500 students participated in this competition.”

Adnan Saad, Deputy General Manager ofKuwait Times and organizer of the ‘Colours ofAustralia’ student art competition, thankedBayan Secondary School for providing theopportunity to organize an exhibition at theircampus in order to showcase the drawings

entered in the competition. He said that stu-dents submitted beautiful works that demon-strated amazing painting skills. “Students frompublic and private schools put huge effort, pas-sion and time in order to present paintings andartworks of great value. Through this competi-tion, they explored Australia with all of itsdeserts, forests, animals, enchanting scenery,world-famous monuments in addition toaspects of a new culture and an old civilization.”

The theme for the “Colours of Australia” artscompetition encouraged students to expresstheir knowledge of Australia by drawing a land-scape, natural scene, or any other form ofexpression they would find suitable.

During the event, Bayan School announcedthat it became a smart school where the admis-sion process will be converted from paperworkto electronic transaction in order to save time,effort as well as papers and printing ink.
