It was built in 1896 and this is the oldest among the churches that celebrate the Mass every week. It has a Romanesque structure and also has Japanese and Western styles. *You can’t visit on Sunday mornings and when people pray.

In Miyazu area, there is an Old House of the Mikami family. It is an important national cultural property. There is also the Miyazu Catholic Church that is both Japanese and Western. Teramachi is an area with many temples.

Ground, Amanohashidate from which God which nature built from ancient times gets down.

The Mikami family was one of the leading merchant families in the Miyazu castle town. They played an important role in the finance of Miyazu-Han and government. Their house was burned down in 1783, so it was given a fireproof structure.

In Yura area, there is about a 2km long sandy beach. You can enjoy swimming at the beach in the summer and mandarin orange picking in the autumn. Also, you can have sweets made with sake at the Hakurei Brewery café. In Kunda area, there is a small aquarium ‘Uocchi kan’ and the Sessyu kan observatory that Sessyu, a famous painter of Suiboku-ga, was supposed to draw Amanohashidate there.

It is immersed in the scene which nature makes.

Funaya are traditional boathouses where the first floor is a boat slip while the second floor is a dwelling. They stand along the Ine Bay and appear as if they are floating on the sea when seen from the ocean.
