Request for Bids for Construction Services
Notice is hereby given for the receipt of subcontractorbids for the Kansas State University Chilled Water Plant,Manhattan, Project Number A-012340. This project willbe delivered under the construction management at-riskstatute, K.S.A. 75-37,144. McCownGordon Constructionis the construction manager.
Subcontractor bids will be received for work as shownon the plans and specifications and specifically in accord-ance with McCownGordon’s published Scopes of Workfor each bid package. The fifth bid package (Bid PackageE) includes the Campus Building Modifications/Up-grades for HVAC Systems to approximately 41 buildings.
Special conditions for this project include, but are notlimited to, special site conditions for parking and storage,usage and access, and construction schedule require-ments. Subcontractors and suppliers are encouraged tocarefully review all of the bidding documents for theunique aspects of the project.

Notice is hereby given of the commencement of the se-lection process for civil engineering services for the Me-morial Drive Reconstruction at the University of Kansas,Lawrence. The project is a multi-year reconstruction ofMemorial Drive, along the north side of KU’s main cam-pus, from West Campus Road to Mississippi Street. Pro-ject scope includes new paving, curbs, sidewalks, stairs,lighting, retaining walls, stormwater systems and park-ing, which will be removed from along the north side ofroad and shall be located perpendicular to and along thesouth side of road. Firms will be selected to design allphases of the project, but the project will be built in threeor more summer phases of construction. Currently, theproposed total project budget is $5,670,000, subject to ac-tual fiscal year funding that is available.

To the extent the Judicial Branchbudget is funded, Access to Justice Grants will be madeavailable for operating expenses of programs that pro-vide access to the Kansas civil justice system for peoplewho otherwise would not be able to participate.
