About the Author

Ed McDonald is a commercial photographer living and working just

outside Orlando Florida.Kids Photographing Kids is a project that

came about while doing a teach-in at a school in the Orlando area. Ed would like

to take this project nation wide. The project gives elementary school children the chance to be the photographer and the model, while inspiring creativity and

teaching working as a team, it also exposes children to a possible career or

creative outlet in the arts.

CIL Teach-In 2008 Book

This book is the result of a photo shoot at a school in the Central Florida area. The children were all given about 15-20 minutes of photographic instruction prior to the start of the shoot. Then the children paired up into teams of two and took turns photographing each other. Each child was given the opportunity to be the photographer and the model. The images they captured of each other are nothing short of amazing. During the photo shoot the class was able to ask the visiting photographer questions pertaining to the field of photography and the arts.
