KFS REQUISITIONS OVERVIEW

5

OverviewWhat is new in the world of Requisitions:

• Only one single KFS document is used to purchase all goods and/or services.

• ELF Small Procurement Orders, Master Contract Releases and

Paper Requisitions will all be processed using a Requisition in KFS.

If the amount on the Requisition is < $5,000.00 KFS will automatically generate a Purchase Order.

If the Requisition uses a Campus Wide Vendor Contract (previously Master Contracts) and the amount is <$50,000.00 KFS will automatically generate a Purchase Order.

Requisitions above these thresholds will be assigned to a Contract Manager (Buyer, Procurement Specialist, or Procurement Coordinator) at the selected Procurement Office for processing and issuing of the Purchase Order.

Overview

What is new in the world of Requisitions continued:

• Users will have to search for and select a Commodity Code on each Requisition.

• Electronic tracking of documentation throughout the entire process from submission, through all approvals, to printing.
