Hunt 4-H Club
December 13th @ 6 p.m. @ Hunt School Teacher Work Room.
During the meeting we will have a potluck meal while we make cards and fill boxes for “Operation Christmas for our
Soldiers”.
@ 7 p.m. we will serve refreshments after the Elementary School Christmas Program in the Cafeteria.
We are taking donations to fill the soldiers boxes (puzzle books, magazines, toiletries, baby wipes, books, kriovac
food items, crystal light, chap stick, etc.) Donations can be dropped at TJ Moore Lumber Yard upstairs with Shonna Fitz-gerald or you can call her at 830-343-7616 to make other ar-
rangements.
West Kerr 4-H Club
December 14th @ 6 p.m. @ Ingram HS Cafeteria.
Our Club takes care of 3 local families at Christmas time. Please bring canned goods/non-perishables.
We will also be making Christmas Gifts.

Our current community service project is benefiting local law enforcements’ efforts in the Blue Santa Program. ALL members are asked to bring a NEW, UNWRAPPED toy to the meeting. Blue Santa himself will be on hand to collect
our donations & take pictures.

Record Book Training What is 4-H Reports? 4-H Reports is an online record keeping system for 4-H members. The site will allow members to log in, track & print record report forms.
How will I use 4-H Reports? Members can use the system throughout the year to track project work, leadership, service,
awards, & other 4-H learning experiences. Forms can be printed out at any time for use in 4-H Recordbooks or as part
of a county awards applications process.
Texas 4-H & Youth Development Opportunity
Scholarship Training, December 12th
These scholarships are awarded each year to applicants
based on their 4-H experience, academic record & financial
need (for scholarships for which it is a prescribed criterion).
We will be hosting this training at the Kerr County Extension
Office.

questions about what to expect, what to do, when to do it, etc. please plan to attend.

informative overview of the process & will be available to answer any questions that you might have.

Baking Contest
If you are in 1st-12th grade and are interested in entering the baking contest please contact the Kerr
County Extension Office.
There are 3 age categories & 12 food categories. Money, Ribbons & Trophies will be awarded, as well as, door prizes for all
entered participants.
The contest will be held on February 11th on the San Antonio Stock
Show Grounds.

Lamb Shearing All lambs going to the Kerrville show must be slick shorn by December 17th. Those going to the West Kerr show must be
done by December 15th. Roy will be having a shearing clinic on
Thursday, December 8th @ the Project Center starting at 9 a.m.
Those interested must call the Ext. Ofc. to set up a time.

This training is designed to help show pig exhibitors and parents understand how to successfully feed their show pigs. MoorMan’s ShowTec nutritionists will be on hand to take your questions and provide product information. Following this presentation, we will offer a brief showmanship clinic highlighting what it takes for exhibitors to be successful in the
show ring.
