About the KEY and CIF

Who’s impacted

Kansas’ early education system is dependent on the KEY fund and CIF.

Approximately 200,000 Kansas kids are served by programs that rely on CIF funding.

What could have been

The KEY fund was designed as a true endowment – spend a small portion each year, and allow remaining funds to grow.

This endowment would serve as a stable source of funding for future generations of Kansas kids.
