7.1.1 Absence from Assessments

All absence from exam must be supported by avalid reason such as Medical Leave. Letter ofexcuse from parents is not acceptable.

Absent without a valid reason – results will bereflected as AB (absent) on the result slip. ABindicates that the child will be getting zero forthat paper.

Upon returning from the medical leave, pupilswill only be allowed to sit for the make-upassessments on 2 designated dates for writtenassessment and 1 designated date for LC, Oraland Composition.

Please take note that the make-up exam is onlyallowed for pupils who are on MC.

7.2 Absence from School in General

During Festive Celebration eg CNY, parents

take the child back to hometown for celebration,

leave earlier than official holidays or come back

later, the school will not grant such leave, the

child’s attendance will be marked as ‘zero’.

Very often the child is taken to holidays before

the school term is over. The attendance of the

child will be marked as ‘zero’ too.

Attendance will affect the child’s conduct grade.

7.6.1 School Safety

The school gantry will be closed at 0740

for the morning session to facilitate

morning assembly and flag-raising

ceremony.

Vehicles are not allowed to be driven into

the school compound during the dismissal

times.

Please refrain from parking your vehicles

outside the school.

visitors to the school are required to

exchange their identification cards for

visitor passes before reporting to the

General Office.

Exception to the rule only applies during

school initiated events/workshops.

7.9.1 Absence from School

When your child is unable to attend school:

1. Parents who are on SNAAPP will notify

the FT using SNAAPP by 8.00 a.m.

2. Parents who are not on SNAAPP will call

the school at 6793 3419 or sms to

8511 7516 in the following format:

[Name;Class;Reason] by 0800 to inform

the school of his/her absence.

7.9.2 Absence from School

With effect from 2nd or 3rd week this term, all form

teachers will use SNAAPP to mark students’

attendance, they will select:

Absent with MC

Absent with VR

Absent without Reason

Late Coming

At 9 a.m., Snaapp will send notices to parents of the child

whose attendance is marked as ‘Absent without Reason’ or

‘Late Coming’ by the teacher

Snaapp will send out Snaapp message (to parents with

Snaapp installed) or SMS (to parents without Snaapp

installed).

'We understand that your child, <student's name>, is

not in school today. Kindly submit the relevant

documents when your child returns to school. Thank
