COOPERATING TEACHERS

By: Baliza, Judylyn R.

•Experienced elementary or secondary teachers

employed to supervise student teachers

or teacher interns in affiliated schools.

•The cooperating teacher is a person who commands the respect of his students. He or She acknowledged as highly competent in his field and willing to allow the student teacher some latitude in developing his ideas, and capable of offering criticism that will encourage a student teacher to improve. In short, he should be a master teacher with a thorough understanding of the requirements for a beginning teacher.

A COOPERATING TEACHER WILL:

Introduce the field student to

the class.

Introduce the student to

other teachers and other

professional staff members.

Provide schedule information, school handbook, and curriculum to the fieldwork of students

Introduce the students as a “REGULAR” teacher and

develop a plan to the teaching role

Provide time each day for

discussion and feedback.

THANK YOU FOR

LISTENING AND GOD BLESS US

ALL !!!
