Operating the Point of Sale in Training Mode

*** NOTE ***Cashier MUST be signed

on to the system to activate Training Mode

To do cashier training, the Training card that was issued to the store is required … Press the

Training Mode Key

The system switches into training mode

Training Mode is displayed here

NOT A SALE!

Is displayed

Press Start Sale and the card reader prompts for the Training Card

Card Reader prompts for PIN

After a valid PIN the card is processed and the prescription is printed

The terminal is now ready to sell items

Sell valid items

Press End Sale to finalize and print the Utilization Receipt

After the sale has been accepted at the card reader, the customer is prompted to remove their card

Sale is Finalized

Training Sale without Training Card

Press Start Sale

The terminal displays “POS IN WRONG MODE”

Press Clear to clear this error message

*** NOTE *** If the system is in Training

Mode and the Cashier Tries to do a “Standard WIC Sale” with a valid WIC Participant Card,

the system will error

The user is prompted to remove the card

To End Training Mode, press Training Mode again to toggle

out of Training Mode

Terminal is now in regular sales mode

Press Start Sale and try to insert the Store Training Card while in

regular sale mode

The terminal displays POS IN WRONG MODE Press Clear key to clear the error message

The terminal prompts to remove the card
