Demographics The majority of carers in Camden are over the age of 40, and 70% are women.

Compared to the general population, carers are more ethnically diverse and proportionately more live in the most deprived areas of Camden

Ill health Carers are more likely to be overweight or obese, and to have been diagnosed

with one or more long term conditions (LTC) than Islington’s general population .

4. Continue to identify carers and direct them to the necessary support
