- NETWORKING Networking is simply "talking to people." When
people say you should network, they mean you should talk to people.
People are happy to help others if they can. You need to be clear
about HOW you'd like their help and clear about what you're looking
for.

- HOW TO NETWORK You are networking when you... volunteer talk
with your neighbors visit with other members of your social clubs
or religious groups search out friends and colleagues on Facebook
and LinkedIn

- MAKE IT FUN It feels good to help others- people want to help
you! People like to answer questions and give advice about their
job, company or industry. By connecting with others, youre sure to
get some much needed encouragement and moral support.

- MOST JOBS ARE NEVER ADVERTISED Many job seekers are hesitant to
take advantage of networking because theyre afraid of being seen as
pushy, annoying, or self- serving. Networking isnt about using
other people or aggressively promoting yourselfits about building
relationships.
