Research Center01
The problem to address is the current perception of manufacturing as not being a respectable profession, which does not attract the skillful workers needed for the industry. The concept for this space is a learning and re-search center that uses sen-sory experiences to help the users discover their place in the symphony of work and is addressing the problem by giving each person the abil-ity to look at manufacturing in a new way. This is accomplished through a symphony of expe-riences. The visitors will be able to experience the world in a new way through the manipulation of their senses.
Today’s learning and working environments of lecturing and presenting information to a group creates a disengaging learning experience. There is a resistance to changing the approach of educating that does not encourage the individual learning styles and interests inherent in each individual. We need to design an experience for educating, training, and research that adapts to the individual as well as advancements in technology and the work environment. It needs to be a transparent and unique sensory experience that provides insights into manufacturing and each individual’s personal preferences and interests. This will provide education and training tailored to individuals to help students and leaders learn their place in the process as a whole.
Students and leaders need a learning environment that does not attempt to put them in a mold. Educational environments should be more interactive and tailored to the individual.
How might we create an individual sensory experience of interactive education that immerses you into a new and unique way of perceiving what is around you?

SENSORY TECHNOLOGYEach user is equipped with headgear technology that reads the individual’s brain’s reactions to various areas of information and projects sensory reduction and stimulation to draw the user to areas of interest.
Colored pathsAppealing soundsSensation of warmth or chillsPleasant associated scents or tastes
GOING WITHIN THE PROCESSOne area of interest for some might be to understand how machines and technology work. This experience will take the user within a holographic and sensory simulation of the experiences of a material, product, or software from production to user to disposal.
Product formed on an assembly lineMaterial’s design and fabricationSoftware from code to intended use
APPLICATION FOR FACTORIESResearch and development teams will maintain and update the technology within the facility while working on improvements for manufacturing facil-ities which can benefit from sensory improvements of the machinery and overall workplace.
Machines that run at pleasant and compatible frequenciesImproving the overall sensory experiences of work

Ludlow Library03
The concept is to design a library in the Clifton area on Cincinnati. The design focus was placed our design idea on the site response and define promenade. Inspired by hexagon shape and manipulated different ways. Basement and second floor are the same shape which is extended a hexagon horizontally, and first and third levels are the same which combine with five hexagons. For façade, I focused horizontal and vertical lines, except the ground level.
