2017 JIM HOGG COUNTY FAIR
MARCH 17-18, 2017
Dear Booth Vendor Applicant:
The Jim Hogg County Fair Board is gearing up for its 32nd
annual Jim Hogg County Fair Festival. Our Fair dates
are set for Friday, March 17th
– Saturday, March 18, 2017. We invite you to join us in the fun and participate
as a vendor in our booth area. Food & Outside Vendors may begin setting up their booths as early as
Thursday, March 16th
and may begin operating Friday, March 17th
, from 8:00am – 12:00 midnight and
Saturday, March 18th
from 8:00am – 1:00am. Arts & Crafts Vendors may begin setting up their booths on
Thursday Evening at 7:00pm inside the pavilion. Operating hours for Arts & Crafts Booths will be from 8:00am
- 11:00pm on Friday, and 8:00am – 12:00 midnight on Saturday.
There are no overnight facilities available at the fairgrounds. If you need lodging, it is highly recommended
that you make necessary arrangements as soon as possible with one of the local motels.
For your benefit, as well as for the customer, we recommend that you have a variety of product for sale.
People like variety! Please be advised that the Jim Hogg County Fair Board reserves the right to refuse the sale
of a specific product.
Booths will be assigned on a FIRST-PAY, FIRST SERVE basis. We suggest you return your completed application
with your payment in full as soon as possible. Booths will not be assigned until payment is received.
Enclosed please find your Vendor Application and Vendor Rules. Please read rules carefully. Anyone found in
violation of the rules will be escorted off the fair grounds.

2017 JHC FAIR VENDOR RULES & REGULATIONS
1. No Show – No Refund. No refund due to bad weather.
2. The JHCFA will not be responsible for accidents, theft, or any mishaps
3. Necessary to keep area as clean as possible and in an orderly fashion. It is the responsibility of the
cook(s) to keep area clean. All trash must be thrown away in trash cans.
4. You may sell ONLY food/novelties. You MAY NOT sell soft drinks (Coke, Sprite, Diet Coke, Dr Pepper,
Big Red etc.), water, nor any alcoholic beverages. Other products that MAY NOT be sold are Candy
Apples, Funnel Cakes, Corn Dog and Cotton Candy.
5. The only beverages food vendors are allowed to sell are Lemonade, Tea, and AguasFrescas.
6. Fire must be contained. All booths MUST have a fire extinguisher.
7. Absolutely NO vehicles will be allowed in booth area after set up.
8. Vendors who will be providing food are responsible for obtaining the required health permits.
9. Ice Chests will be allowed in booths only for the purpose of storing foods needed for cooking and/or
food preparation.
10. All booths are subject to inspection.
11. NO PELLET GUNS MAY BE SOLD.
**All vendors will be given ONLY 2 vendor passes. If your booth is requiring additional help to operate, those
individuals will have to pay a fee at main gate to enter grounds.
**Please be advised that anyone found in violation of any of these rules will be escorted off grounds, thus not
being able to operate any further.

Hebbronville, TX 78361. Exhibitors will be accepted on a “first come paid/first served” basis. Accepted exhibitors will be notified. Checks will be returned to applicants not accepted. Stand-bys will be accepted until all spaces are filled. ALL EXHIBITORS WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE SALES TAX NUMBER. Set up: you may set up on Thursday evening or Friday morning starting at 8:00 A.M. Appearance: Your booth must be neat and orderly at all times. All back stock, boxes and personal items should be out of sight. You will not be allowed to staple or tape to the wall. Tables: If you use tables, they must be covered and draped to the floor. Electricity: Tables with electricity access will be given on a first come first serve basis. You must supply your own cords, and all usage should be 110 volts.

Vendor Contract Agreement
The Jim Hogg County Fair Association hereby leases to Vendor space as a Food, Novelties and/or Arts &
Craft Vendor subject to the terms of the application, rules and the following Terms and Conditions. All
county, state, and federal laws which, although they may not be referred to herein, are specially made
part of this agreement.
1. Vendor agree to duly report all cash sales made during the Event in accordance with the appropriate sales tax regulations, collect all applicable sales taxes, and abide by all pertinent county, state, and federal laws.
2. Vendor agree to assume all liability for damage or loss caused to the premises or their exhibit area and
agree to indemnify and hold harmless “The Jim Hogg County Fair Association”, sponsors of the event, or Jim Hogg County for all liability which might ensue by reason his/her actions at the event..
3. Vendor may NOT assign this contract or their space or sublet all or any part of their space.
4. Vendors are responsible for all items in their booth at ALL TIMES.
5. THE JHC FAIR ASSOC. RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT OR PROHIBIT ANY
VENDOR, PROPOSED ITEMS OR PART THEREOF, INCLUDING WITHOUT
LIMITATION, ANY PERSON, ARTICLES, CONDUCT, PRINTED MATTER, CATALOGUES
OR SOUVENIRS THAT, IN ITS OPINION, ARE NOT SUITABLE TO AND IN KEEPING
WITH THE CHARACTER OF THE EVENT. DECISION OF THE JHC FAIR ASSOC. IS
FINAL.

regulations.
