1. Altamont’s interchange at I-70 is full of shops, restaurants and hotels that attract travelers off the freeway and draws them into the community

2. Altamont has a flourishing parks and recreation program, with opportunities for all ages and high quality facilities, such as a golf course, biking trail, and pool to fit their needs.

3. Altamont offers entrepreneurs, as well as new and existing businesses, programs and incentives aimed at helping establish, maintain and grow businesses

4. Altamont is a destination for entertainment with modern high quality facilities, including the Effingham County Fairgrounds, which attracts major concerts, performances, expositions, fairs and conferences
