Ring Joint Gaskets:-
Ring gaskets also known as Ring Joint Gaskets. They are mostly used in offshore oil- and gas pipelines
and are designed to work under extremely high pressure. They are solid rings of metal in different cross
sections like oval, round, octagonal etc. Sometimes they come with hole in center for pressure.

R Type RTJ Gaskets:-
The R-Type ring gasket are found in two shapes, Oval or Octagonal. Both shapes have the same pitch
diameter as the flange groove they communicate to. These gaskets are used in pressures up to 10,000
PSI. The octagonal type has a higher sealing co-efficient than the oval, therefore it is the most wanted
shape. The oval type is the only gasket that will fit a bottom radiused groove. Both the Gaskets can be
used in Flanges with flat bottom v-grooves. OVL and OCT is used as abbreviation for Oval and
Octagonal shapes respectively.
RX Type RTJ Gaskets:-
RX gaskets are designed for pressures up to 15,000 PSI. These gaskets are compatible to R Type Oval
or R type Octagonal rings used on API 6B flanges. Thickness or the height of the these RX type of
gaskets are more than R type gaskets, hence the weight of one ring is also more than R type gaskets,
therefore it is expensive when compared to R type gaskets. Hence it doesn't sell in huge volumes. RX
type gaskets are best one which can be used in the areas where R type gaskets are used with high
pressure flow like on shore under Sea applications.
BX Type RTJ Gaskets:-

SRX and SBX RTJ Gaskets:-
BX Ring Gasket is distinct from the oval or octagonal gasket. The gasket is square in cross section and
it is tapered at each angles. BX is used at pressures up to 15,000 psi and it can be used only in API 6BX
flanges and 16BX hubs.
Specialty RTJ Gaskets:-
AX, CX, DX, and VX Gaskets is generally called the Specialty Gaskets. It is produced based on the
drawings given by the end user.

Spiral Wound Gaskets
Spiral-Wound gaskets comprise a mix of metallic and filler material. Generally, the gasket has a metal
(normally carbon rich or stainless steel) wound outwards in a circular spiral (other shapes are possible)
with the filler material (generally a flexible graphite) wound in the same manner but starting from the
opposing side. This results in alternating layers of filler and metal. The filler material in these gaskets
acts as the sealing element, with the metal providing structural support.
Spiral wound gaskets are also used in high pressure pipelines and are made with stainless steel outer
and inner rings and a center filled with spirally wound stainless steel tape wound together with graphite
and PTFE, formed in V shape. Internal pressure acts upon the faces of the V, forcing the gasket to seal
against the flange faces.
These gaskets have proven to be reliable in most applications, and allow lower clamping forces than
solid gaskets.

Style JG Spiral Wound Gaskets:-

Style JGI Spiral Wound Gaskets:-
The standard JG style with an extra inner ring fitted, providing an additional compression stop that
protects the sealing element from heat and corrosion. Inner rings are standard on all gaskets NPS24"
class 900#, NPS12" and above in 1500#, NPS4" and above in 2500#. All spiral wound gaskets with
PTFE filler material have inner rings fitted.
Style JGS Spiral Wound Gaskets:-
Style JGS gaskets are a sealing element only with a few additional layers of winding strip for use in
tongue and groove and male/ female flanges.
These gaskets are also available in oval, obround and diamond shape for valve bonnet and hand hole
applications.

Seamless Pipe Fittings:
Pipe fittings are widely demanded for any piping and plumbing systems used in industrial and
commercial applications. Fittings allow pipes to be joined or installed in the appropriate place and
terminated or closed where necessary. Fittings are available in various shapes and sizes. They can be
expensive, require time, and different materials and tools to install. They are an essential part of piping
and plumbing systems. There are thousands of specialized fittings manufactured. Each type of pipe or
tube requires its own type of fitting, but usually all pipe fittings share some common features. Pipe
fittings are available everywhere where plumbing materials are sold.
How are pipe fittings connected to pipes? Pipe fittings are either male fittings or female fittings. In threaded pipe fittings, female threads are on the inside while male threads are on the outside. Pipe fittings that have one female end and one male end are called street fittings. Pipe fittings are used to connect pipes or tubes in two ways:
By threading: Threaded pipes screw together to connect or join. Generally metal pipes are threaded and they have threaded fittings.
By slip fit: Slip fit pipes use sleeves that slip into one another. The plastic pipes are either threaded or slip fit.
Accordingly pipe fittings are organized as follows:
Male threaded: Exterior threads. Are screwed into the inside of pipe end of a larger diameter with internal threading.
Female threaded: Interior threads. Receive male threaded pipe fittings.
Male slip fit: There are no threads. Receive a narrower.
Female slip fit: Female slip fit: There are no threads. Made to slip into slightly larger male sleeve.

Purpose of a pipe fitting: The basic purposes of any pipe fitting are as follows:
Connecting the bores of two or more pipes or tubes.

Pipe Elbow Fittings:

PTFE Gaskets:
PTFE -based gasket materials are able to withstand significantly more aggressive chemical
environments (including highly oxidizing environments) than standard non-asbestos gasket materials.
However their temperature, pressure and mechanical performance is inferior to standard non-asbestos
gasket materials. Metal inserted and expanded PTFE are able to operate at higher pressures.
PTFE is principally used as a gasket material because of its capability to remain unaffected by the
majority of chemicals used in industry. It is also classified, in most cases, as a food grade material,
making it acceptable to both medical and food production industries. There are three basic types of
PTFE gasket materials. Virgin PTFE filled PTFE and expanded PTFE.
Pipe Tee Fittings:
Pipe Tee is a type of pipe fitting which is T-shaped having two outlets, at 90° to the connection to the
main line. It is a short piece of pipe with a lateral outlet. Pipe Tee is used to connect pipelines with a
pipe at a right angle with the line. Pipe Tees are widely used as pipe fittings. They are made of various
materials and available in various sizes and finishes. Pipe tees are extensively used in pipeline networks
to transport two-phase fluid mixtures.

Cap Fittings:
A type of pipe fitting, usually liquid or gas tight, which covers the end of a pipe, a cap is used like plug,
except that the pipe cap screws or attaches on the male thread of a pipe. A cap may have a solvent weld
socket end or a female threaded end and the other end closed off. In plumbing systems that use threads,
the cap has female threads. Industrial caps can be round, square, rectangular, U-shaped, I-shaped and
may have a round hand grip or a flat hand grip.
If a solvent weld cap is used to provide for a future connection point, several inches of pipe must be left
before the cap. This is because when the cap is cut off for the future connection, enough pipes must
remain to allow a new fitting to be glued onto it.

Solar energy does not depend on electricity grids and fuels. It is the ideal source for a largely private,
local, ecological and just electricity supply which is available anywhere. Germany is at the leading edge

Grid-Tied Solar PV
A grid-connected photovoltaic power system, or grid-connected PV system is an electricity generating
solar PV system that is connected to the utility grid. A grid-connected PV system consists of solar
panels, one or several inverters, a power conditioning unit and grid connection equipment. They range
from small residential and commercial rooftop systems to large utility-scale solar power stations. Unlike
stand-alone power systems, a grid-connected system rarely includes an integrated battery solution, as
they are still very expensive. When conditions are right, the grid-connected PV system supplies the
excess power, beyond consumption by the connected load, to the utility grid.
Residential, grid-connected rooftop systems which have a capacity less than 10 kilowatts can meet the
load of most consumers. They can feed excess power to the grid where it is consumed by other users.
The feedback is done through a meter to monitor power transferred. Photovoltaic wattage may be less
than average consumption, in which case the consumer will continue to purchase grid energy, but a
lesser amount than previously. If photovoltaic wattage substantially exceeds average consumption, the
energy produced by the panels will be much in excess of the demand. In this case, the excess power can
yield revenue by selling it to the grid. Depending on their agreement with their local grid energy
company, the consumer only needs to pay the cost of electricity consumed less the value of electricity
generated. This will be a negative number if more electricity is generated than consumed. Additionally,
in some cases, cash incentives are paid from the grid operator to the consumer. Connection of the
photovoltaic power system can be done only through an interconnection agreement between the
consumer and the utility company. The agreement details the various safety standards to be followed
during the connection.

Battery-based Solar PV
Battery based systems store the solar energy generated during the day, in batteries, for later usage. An
intelligent inverter blends solar power generated with the grid power to supply the loads. Solar power
is always preferred over grid power thereby reducing the overall grid usage. In the event of a power
failure, solar power (via the battery bank) takes over completely.
Such systems can essentially be either a simple backup system for power cuts or a completely off the grid system where all your energy needs are met by solar power.
Solar Water Heater:
Solar water heating (SWH) is the conversion of sunlight into renewable energy for water heating using a solar thermal collector. Solar water heating systems comprise various technologies that are used worldwide increasingly. In a "close-coupled" SWH system the storage tank is horizontally mounted immediately above the solar collectors on the roof. No pumping is required as the hot water naturally rises into the tank through thermo siphon flow. In a "pump-circulated" system the storage tank is ground- or floor-mounted and is below the level of the collectors; a circulating pump moves water or heat transfer fluid between the tank and the collectors. SWH systems are designed to deliver hot water for most of the year. However, in winter there sometimes may not be sufficient solar heat gain to deliver sufficient hot water. In this case a gas or electric booster is used to heat the water.

Solar Water Pump: A solar-powered pump is a pump running on electricity generated by photovoltaic panels or the radiated thermal energy available from collected sunlight as opposed to grid electricity or diesel run water pumps. The operation of solar powered pumps is more economical mainly due to the lower operation and maintenance costs and has less environmental impact than pumps powered by an internal combustion engine (ICE). Solar pumps are useful where grid electricity is unavailable and alternative sources (in particular wind) do not provide sufficient energy.
A photovoltaic solar powered pump system has three parts:
The pump
The controller
Solar panels.
The solar panels make up most (up to 80%) of the systems cost.(citation needed) The size of the PV-system is directly dependent on the size of the pump, the amount of water that is required (m³/d) and the solar irradiance available.
The purpose of the controller is twofold. Firstly, it matches the output power that the pump receives with the input power available from the solar panels. Secondly, a controller usually provides a low voltage protection, whereby the system is switched off, if the voltage is too low or too high for the operating voltage range of the pump. This increases the lifetime of the pump thus reducing the need for maintenance.
Voltage of the solar pump motors can be AC (alternating current) or DC (direct current). Direct current motors are used for small to medium applications up to about 3 kW rating, and are suitable for applications such as garden fountains, landscaping, drinking water for livestock, or small irrigation projects. Since DC systems tend to have overall higher efficiency levels than AC pumps of a similar size, the costs are reduced as smaller solar panels can be used.
Finally, if an alternating current solar pump is used, an inverter is necessary that changes the direct current from the solar panels into alternating current for the pump. The supported power range of inverters extends from 0.15 to 55 kW and can be used for larger irrigation systems. However, the panel and inverters must be sized accordingly to accommodate the inrush characteristic of an AC motor.
Solar Street Light:-
Solar street lights are raised light sources which are powered by photovoltaic panels generally mounted on the lighting structure or integrated in the pole itself. The photovoltaic panels charge a rechargeable battery, which powers a fluorescent or LED lamp during the night.
