Jack Ambridge ‘Little Lands’ is a series of photographs by
Hastings photographer Jack Ambridge. He uses Tilt Shift Photography to make everyday landscapes
appear like toys or models. This effect is achieved through creating a narrow band of focus in the
centre of an image that blurs as it moves towards the edges.

Can I create Tilt Shift Photographs?
Tasks
1. Research Jack Ambridge and Tilt shift photography. Create a page of research in your book with images and your own opinion about the work
2. Upload a landscape image to http://tiltshiftmaker.com. Experiment with the settings and download your result. Make a print screen and present your before and after images.
3. Annotate your work to explain the process and how well you think it has worked.
Homework
Take a series of Landscape images from around Hastings to use with the tilt shift method. Try to get views from the tops of hills and with a long depth of field. Bring in to your next photography lesson.
