PIN Numbers

• Login: Student ID• Password: 4 digit PIN number

Why cite your sources?• Plagiarism is a serious violation of academic integrity• Give credit where credit is due• Strengthen the quality of your arguments through referencing scholars

Ways to avoid plagiarism• Cite sources that are not common knowledge• Manage your time – the earlier you start an assignment the more capable you will be of using the sources properly• Ask for help, talk to someone at the LRC or the Writing Centre• Even when you are not using the exact words of someone else, you still need to credit the source• Keep notes and bibliographic information together

RefWorks is one way to keep all your citation information together!
