HIGHLIGHTS

Multiple IV Infusions

• Physically trace each line

• Label each infusion line

• Make connections without forcing or adapting

Epidural Infusions

• Use yellow-lined tubing without injection ports

• Place epidural pump on opposite side of patient from IVs

• Use different model pump for epidural infusion

HIGHLIGHTS:

• IV at the head of bed

• Enteral Feeding Device at the foot of the bed on the opposite side from the IV

• Trace the line from the person to the bag
