INTRODUCTIONDamages brought by the Typhoon• 6,293 people were dead toll• 16.08 million people were affected• 39.8 Billion Pesos = 1.05 Billion NZD of the damage• Many countries supported the Philippines

TYPHOON

Typhoon is name given in the Pacific Ocean to a hurricane.

FOREIGN AID

• Help from another countries such as finance, humanitarian and health care things. (Dictionary.com. N.d.)

HISTORY OF RELATIONSHIP

• Red Seal Ship trade in the 16th century.

• Japan occupied the Philippines during 1944 – 45.

• They singed a treaty called San Francisco Treaty.

• Japan helps the Philippines. (ODA)

RESEARCH QUESTIONS

1. What section did especially affect by the aid from Japan?

2. How many people, how much money did Japan contribute to the Philippines?

3. Who /What kind of group did actually help Philippines at that time?

4. What were Filipinos’ reaction for the Japanese aid?

JAPANESE AIDS• 0.53 billions dollars support• Finance, humanitarian and health care support• 1,000 personnel of Japanese Self Defense Force • Sent 5 JDR experts.

FILIPINOS RESPONSE

• All of them are welcomed very much for the support aid• They thanked for the very quick than other countries• A thanking message showed up on the display in Shibuya

CONCLUSION• Japan gave positive affection

• Japan was one of the fastest countries send foreign aid

• Filipinos were thanking for Japanese aid
