EUROPEAN MASTER IN MIGRATION AND

INTERCULTURAL RELATIONS is the first

African-European Erasmus Mundus Master

Course in Migration Studies. The first

cohort did set out to study in September

2011.

EMMIR PARTNER UNIVERSITIES are University of

Oldenburg, Germany; Ahfad University for Women in

Omdurman, Sudan; Makerere University Kampala,

Uganda; Mbarara University of Science &

Technology, Uganda; University of Nova Gorica,

Slovenia; University of South Bohemia, Czech

Republic; University of Stavanger, Norway.

THE CONSORTIUM OF PARTNER UNIVERSITIES is

supported by wide network of associate partners

and other cooperating organizations providing base

for students´ internships and research activities.

AS ONE OF THE PARTNER UNIVERSITIES,

the University of South Bohemia (USB)

provides education within the third study

module of EMMIR. The USB module

focuses on Representation, Ethnicity and

Nation State.

AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH BOHEMIA, EMMIR

is implemented by the Department of Social

Sciences and the Department of Pedagogy and

Psychology at the Faculty of Education. The

overview given in this document includes activities

realized by the EMMIR team for EMMIR and USB

students, as well as for wider public in Prague and

České Budějovice.

THE CZECH EMMIR TEAM consists of Salim Murad

(Course Director), Michal Šimůnek (lecturer), Ram

Thein (lecturer) and Anna Maršíková (manager).
