Arithmetic is the learning of add, subtract, multiply, & divide of numbers.

Algebra involves the same operations of arithmetic but has the element of an unknown, a variable.  

Solving Equationsis learning about the steps to solve for the unknown variable.

Functions is learning about the relationship of two variables.

In this unit, we will learn… specific math vocabulary for polynomials.

how to add & subtract, multiply & divide terms algebraically and with algebra tiles.

how area and perimeter can be expressed using polynomials.
