- Coverage area: 300m2 (at WCDMA 2100)

- Mobile handset output power lower than 20dBm after call setup

- Considered -15dB as barrier loss

- Typically received signal sensitivity of mobile handset is -104dBm(GSM, DCS, CDMA, WCDMA)

1) Definition of Isolation

- Definition of Repeater Isolation

The different value of Repeater Output power and Feedback Signal power

The loss of wireless space.

- Recommended Repeater Gain = Isolation – 15dB

5. Isolation

2) Calculation of Isolation

- How to calculate Isolation Value ?

Feed Back Signal

Feed Back  Signal Input  level ‐70dBm

RepeaterRx Level from Donor ‐50dBm Output 9dBm

Repeater Gain 64dB

• Isolation Check start after Power ON

- Antenna Isolation is Checked after Power ON automatically- Max gain is 15dB lower than Antenna Isolation.

•MAX Gain value = Antenna Isolation – 15dB•MAX Gain Value is lower than 64dB

- If Antenna Isolation is lower than 50dBm, Repeater is Shutdown and display Installation Fail Alarm.

• Periodical Isolation Check

- After Power ON Antenna Isolation is checked by every 24 hours.- Max Gain is 15dB lower than Antenna Isolation.

MAX Gain value = Antenna Isolation – 15dB

- If Antenna Isolation is lower than 50dBm, Repeater is Shutdown and displayShutdown Alarm.

Auto Isolation Check

6. Major Function

• Adjust Max gain level to make Downlink Output level is not over +10dBm ±2dB,Control MAX Gain value ~ 30dB.

-MAX Gain Value is acquired by Automatic Isolation Check function.

•Uplink Gain is as same as Downlink Gain.

Automatic Level Control

6. Major Function

• If Downlink Output level is over +12dBm±2dB for 10 sec, Repeater Downlink and Uplink is Shutdown for 30 minutes and display Temporary Alarm.

• Uplink Output level is +21dBm±2dB for 10 sec, Repeater Downlink and Uplink is Shutdown for 30 minutes and display Temporary Alarm.

• Re-start after 30 min, and then Downlink and Uplink Output level is normal , back to Normal operation status.

• Re-start after 30 min, and then Downlink and Uplink Output level is overpowerfor 10 sec , Repeater is shutdown and display Shutdown Alarm.

8. Installation Procedure a. Install the Donor Antenna and RF Cable where you want to by using antenna mounting bracket

b. In process a, Donor antenna should be installed to the base station direction for better performance.

c. Installation method for antenna mounting bracket

C-1. Attach the wall sticker and then insert the anchor by using drill.

C-2. The mounting bracket should be locked up to wall by using screw.

C-3. The antenna plugs in mounting bracket and assemble tightly both A and B

C-4. Rotate the antenna where you want to and then push the one touch button for finally fix.

8. Installation Procedure d. Install the repeater mounting bracket to the wall where you want to service by using

screw.

e. After process d, Insert the repeater properly into the mounting hole.

f. Cabling RF Cable between Donor Antenna and Donor port of repeater.

g. Power on by plugging in AC/DC adaptor

h. After process g, the repeater will start the Automatic Gain setting.

It will take a time about 1 ~ 2 minutes.

i. After process h, the repeater starts the mobile service.
