• Non-degree, F-1 => CPT

– Grad: min 1 semester

• Non-degree, F-1 – not eligible or not approved for CPT

1. Apply for change of status to J-1

• Lengthy process, $ 340 admin cost

2. Apply for both F-1 & J-1 before leaving home

– Return home to apply for J-1 intern
