International Spy Museum Wins 2019 Best Project Awardfor Culture/WorshipBY ENR MIDATLANTICJuly 22, 2019

The International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C. has won Best Project in the Cultural/Worship category for 2019, awarded by ENR MidAtlantic. This new, seven-story building spans 82,000 sf and showcases the largest collection of international espionage artifacts currently on public display. This LEED Silver® project features a glass atrium, 48,400 sf of exhibit space, 23,000 sf of special event space, a museum shop, and offices. An outdoor plaza, a rooftop terrace, and space for educational and special programs are other highlights of this museum.
The museum has achieved the following Architectural Engineering Institute awards in 2019:
• Most Innovative Project over $100 Million • Award of Excellence in the Mechanical Systems Design • Award of Excellent in the Construction Management and
Methods• Award of Merit in the Structural Systems Design
The architects for this build are Hickok Cole Architects and Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners.
