Following the mutual cooperation launched since 2009 with The Sudan Academy for Banking and Financial Sciences, the Institute completed the implementation of the »Training and Qualifying Microfinance Specialists» program, at the Institute,s premises in Amman on May 19, 2011 for (15) trainees from different Sudanese banks and micro-financing institutions operating in Sudan.
The advanced level of the program which was implemented during May 2-11, 2011 aimed at acquainting the employees working in the field of microfinancing with the best international practices related to making the necessary credit studies for granting loans to the small and micro projects and to insure proper follow-up, collection and risk management, in addition to focus on the financial and managerial aspects which guarantee the sustainability and profitability of these financing institutions as well as strengthening competitiveness among them and with other banks and lending institutions operating in the economy.
The specialized Training of Trainers (ToT) level of the program which was held during May 15-19, 2011 aimed at qualifying and training the participants to carry out the future training functions for the remaining part of the employees of the Sudanese sector in order to ensure a sound, strong and scientific start for their institutions in the Sudanese economy through providing the participants with the latest methods and tools of growth, developing abilities, and training to design microfinancing programs. Accordingly, every participant made a presentation on two subjects, one optional and one obligatory. Their performance as trainers was then assessed by a specialized committee of Jordanian trainers in
accordance with a number of parameters such as: The extent of the trainer,s ability to comprehend and demonstrate the scientific material, Efficiency of time management within the assigned period of time, Control of the training session, Management of discussions, Utilization of the different training techniques and methods and personal skill as a trainer.
At the end of the program, the management of the Institute, in the presence of the specialized committee and representative of the Academy, appreciated the existing cooperation between the Institute and the Academy and the efforts of both parties to make this program succeed and achieve the desired results. Finally, the certificates were distributed to the new trainers after they have successfully completed the program and obtained the title of »Accredited Trainer» from the Institute and the Academy.
