Inspiration Sparkle!

Centenary square woman’s suffrage mosaic.

Tree on outskirts of Albert Park that had spread its branches (reaching out).

Light coming through the trees in Albert Park . We thought it was interesting how the light was captured in the shape of a star or sparkle.

One of the trees in Albert Park. We liked the look of the bark.

Feathers floating in a fountain in Albert Park.

A park bench in Albert Park that we liked the design of.

Carving on Chris Booths gateway sculpture to Albert Park.

Chris Booths Gateway Sculpture to Albert Park.

The roof at the entrance to the art gallery. This inspired us because of its beautiful architecture and its simplified take of a tree.

This is Reuben Paterson’s Whakapapa: get down upon your knees (2009). Which he describes as bringing people together through pattern.

A sculpture outside the Auckland Art Gallery. We like the use of real branches alongside silk hand made flowers.

Colour slides that we made patterns and mixed colours with at the Art Gallery.

Reflective boxes were set up in the art gallery to view objects through. We liked the repetitive patterns made when you took photos through the viewing area.

Tiki stencil wall art on Victoria st.

Waharoa or Gateway by Selwyn Muru located in Aotea square. We liked the look of the sculpture and the idea of using natural resources.
