Chile has grown one of the most open economies in the world. More than 40 Free Trade Agreements have been signed by four consecutive chilean governments. The open economy has empowered competitivenes, international trade and investment. Therefore, innovation has become “a must” in chilean companies and new business ventures. A new generation of business people is emerging in Chile: Innovative Entrepreneurs. These new actors are changing chilean economy. They are creating new industries such as virtual services; e-commerce platforms; videogames and so on. The Innovative Entrepreneurs are building a new identity in Chile. They feel comfortable in the uncomfortable zone. They dream bigger and they act global. Chile is becoming a land of young, very young entrepreneurs. And large, traditional corporations are beginning to get aware of this phenomenon. They need keep on growing, but they aren´t as fast and flexible as young entrepreneurs. They are beginning to buy startups. They need them to accelerate their corporate innovation. This time, Golliath needs David.
