HISTORY OF LIFE INSURANCE
13
8/2/2019 ING Life Isurance Company
14/44
Insurance began as a way of reducing the risk of traders, asearly as 5000 BC in china and 4500 BC in Babylon. Life Insurancedates only to and ancient Rome; burial clubs covered the cost of members funeral expenses and helped survivors momentarily.Modern life insurance started in late 17 th century England, originallyas insurance for traders: merchants, ship owners and underwritersmet to discuss deals at LIoyds coffee House, predecessor to thefamous LIoyds of London.
The first insurance company in the United States was formedin Charleston, South Carolina in 1732, but it provided only fireinsurance. The Synods in Philadelphia and New York created the
Corporation for Relief of poor and Distressed Windows and childrenof Presbyterian Minister in 1759; Episcopalian priests organized asimilar fund in 1769. Between 1787 and 1837 more than two dozenlife insurance companies were started,But fewer than half a dozensurvived .
Prior to the American Civil War many insurance
companies in the United States insured the lives of slaves for their
owners. In response to bills passed in California in 2001 and Illinoisin 2003, the companies have been required to search their recordsfor such policies. New York Life for example reported that Nautilussold 485 slaveholder life insurance policies during a two-year periodin the 1840s; they added that their trustees voted to end the sale of such policies 15 years before the Emancipation.

NEED OF LIFE INSURANCEEvents
Now a days death is not something that most people connect tothemselves. Nor are accidents, disability, critical illness and other contingencies. For instance one can be reasonably sure that you arenot thinking of those while reading this.
People say they dont want to pay life insurance premium sothey can spend more to enjoy life. Infect, the opposite is ture.LifeInsurance makes it possible for us to spend more of our income witha clear conscience. For we know that if illness, disability or death
occure, our families will be provided for. It is paying a LITTLE nowto prevent a BIG loss later. By choosing the right insurance cover parents health and financial needs can be taken care of, childrenseducations needs will be provided for and your family can continueto maintain their standard of life.
