Independence day & Janmasthami celebration in Nursery

We celebrated India’s Independence Day on the 11th August, 2017 in Nursery.

Our children watched the power point presentation which depicted the essence

of India’s freedom struggle, discussed our national symbols and sang patriotic

songs with Kamal sir. All the above helped explain the importance of

Independence Day to our children.

Our little ones came dressed in traditional Indian attire, we prepared tricolor

sandwiches and made Indian flag for take away as craft activity which further

re-inforced the colors of our national flag.

We also spoke about Janmasthami, birthday of lord Krishna. The importance of

jhankis depicting the life of Lord Krishna, was discussed.
