‘The unread story is not a story; it is little black marks on wood pulp. The reader, reading it, makes it live: a live thing, a story.’

Ursula K. Le Guin

Receiving comments from other schools and teachers from around the world helps me to improve on my writing and reading skills. Its amazing what you can learn just by sharing your own personal ideas. Georgia

I love the 100 WC because the prompts they give you are brilliant they give you great prompts like out of the blue, all I could see were two red eyes, and they sometimes give you pictures like a key in frosty grass and even once they gave us a video and many more great prompts. Joseph Anyway it encourages you, you feel more

confident when some one else writes on your work because they’ve write some thing lovely. It makes you belive that your a more creative and better writer, and to feel that you can do it and that your a fantastic writer. From Annalise 6D

Without a prompt we could be thinking for a while on what our story cold be about but with the prompt it gives us a few ideas and everybody’s story can still be completely different because everyone will have a different take on the prompt each week. Derebhile

I like getting comments from other people and giving comments to people. It’s weird how many different takes there are on just the one prompt. No two are the same! Blaithin

Giving the children a regular diet of comments is vital to improving their writing. Team 100WC is a group of adults who each week look at a given number of entries and provide a constructive comment. We need lots more people!
