Transcript of I.M Bored: A Legacy in 10 Generations - Gen 3 part 1

I’m bored. I can’t sleep and doing other stuff isn’t appealing. So I am going to write this next part of the legacy that endeavors to keep me semi-entertained while earning me a nifty medal in the process.

When we last left our random family, Evangelion, our third generation heiress had just become a child.

Since she aged up into some okay but not really her clothes, a trip to the dresser was required.

And just in time to greet highly inappropriate headmaster Joe. His name’s not Joe, but it works with the flow.

“Hmmm… I feel this coffee isn’t quite warm enough…”

“Still, this is a fine household who will be a credit to our establishment. Eva’s in.”

“Wooo!!! My granddaughter will be well educated.”

In actuality, he’s cheering his bed. But we’ll pretend, okay. I.M. is quite possibly the most active ghost I’ve had EVER in all of my years of playing. He haunted the night immediately after his death and then every night thereafter. Suddenly, my free-roaming ghosts handicap got a lot more problematic.

“Hey, little girl excited for your first day of school?”

“No.”

“Aww, shucks. I bet I can make it better by offering you a piece of candy.”

“I don’t think so.”

“I bet you’ll like it if you try it.”

“You know what? I think I’ll walk.”

Eva going off to school meant that Corbin didn’t really have much to do with himself. So in deference to a random want that rolled up he bought a pottery wheel and started the long, messy road to his gold badge.

“I don’t know why the teacher punished me for being late! It was the stupid, creepy bus driver's fault. That’s it! I hate school! I will only do it because I have to. The moment I can stop, I will!”

“I sense something ominous.”

It’s just the penguin.

“No. It is far worse than that. I must pass on my warning as soon as possible.”

I agree that the pitcher is quite gaudy. But It will sell quite nicely when I open up the family business this generation.

Fantasy continues to be boring. Most of the time, I queue up “Call: Friends” and let autotalk do its work. It’s not like she’s got anything better to do.

“Where’re your mom and dad?”

“Inside.”

“Don’t they know you’re home from school.”

“Yeah, they do. But they don’t really care, they’re busy.”

“Your parents suck.”

“You take that back!”

“Nuh-huh. They suck. They are the suckiest, sucktastic parents that ever sucked.”

“But…”

“I don’t want to hear it. What kind of parent doesn’t make an afterschool snack for their kid?”

“But I’m not hungry.”

“Well, I am. I’m gonna go home where people actually feed their kids and don’t worry if they get fat or not.”

“Please, don’t go.”

“See ya, loser.”

The blond kid wasn’t that far off, Corbin and Fantasy were busy doing other things and didn’t really care about having a daughter. They rarely rolled wants for her and even those were generic ‘Get A+’, ‘Get into private school’, etc. wants.

Instead, Fantasy rolled the wants to top careers, make friends, and call her old college friends to chat.

Corbin on the other hand, rolled wants to see a ghost, get saved from death, get a random badge, and catch fireflies. The family sim aspirations that they BOTH have, lies.

“You suck as a parent!”

“Whee! Plus 5000 aspiration!”

“Geez, what’s a ghost got to do to get someone to listen to him!”

“Hi Mommy! Can we play?”

“Mommy’s too busy to play and it’s bedtime for little girls.”

“I’m not a little girl!”

“Anyone who says that, is a little girl. Now bed! Scoot!”

“Hmph. I’m not a little girl! I’m not!”

“Hmmm… No one’s sleeping in my bed. This is good. Now who should I try to talk to tonight?”

“Not Fannie, she never listened to me as a kid why would she start as an adult? Which means that leaves…”

“ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME?”

“Eeek! Grandpa! But you’re dead!”

“And soon you’ll be as good as dead if you don’t listen to me.”

“I’m listening! I’m listening!”

“I didn’t start this legacy to have it end at the second generation. And it will if your mother gets her way.”

“What’d Mommy do?”

“She’s boring. And the creator won’t play us if we are boring.”

“You mean I’ll be stuck as a kid forever.”

“Worse. You and this whole neighborhood will be destroyed.”

“I don’t want to be destroyed. But I’m a kid I don’t know what to do!!! And Mommy and Daddy won’t help me.”

“Will you help me, Moonshine?”

“Hey! I’m the heiress! I need some attention here.”

Meh. Fine.

“Mommy, the creator doesn’t like you.”

“Oh don’t be silly, baby, everyone likes me.”

“But Mommy, Grandpa told me she doesn’t like you.”

“Baby, your Grandpa’s dead. It was just a bad dream.”

“But…”

“No buts, the Creator loves me. She let me be heiress, that is proof that she loves me.”

“But Mommy!”

“No more buts. Now I am going to go call my 40 best friends and stay on the phone for the next 12 hours. And you’re going to get ready for school. Chop-chop!”

“I don’t want to go to school. It’s boring. The bus driver’s creepy and the uniform itches.”

“Oh now come on, it can’t be that bad.”

“Ugh. I think I’ll walk again.”

“Ahhh another lifetime want down. Now I want to be a STAR!!!”

“Mommy? I brought a friend home, can you fix us a snack?

“I can’t, Eva. I need to find another Job to top.”

“Okay…”

“She won’t make us a snack.”

“Geez! What kind of mom is she?”

“She’s just busy.”

“Yeah right. That’s it, I’m jetting!”

“Yeah… I can’t blame you. See you at school?”

“Yeah sure.”

“Bye-bye.”

“Grrr… No one wants to be my friend ‘cause of my Mommy. I won’t let my Mommy kill me. I won’t!”

“Hmmmm… I could have sworn I heard Eva yelling. Nah, it’s just my imagination.”

“Mommy, I want to go to bed.”

“Go find another bed. Mommy’s working on a project.”

“When I said find another bed, I didn’t mean with Daddy.”

“I just wanted to feel safe.”

“Well, you can’t sleep here. If you’re not tired, you can do your homework.”

“Nobody knows the trouble I’ve seen. Nobody knows my sorrows…”

“Hey kiddo, I didn’t know you were a bass.”

“Daddy! You’re up! Can you play with me? Please?”

“Sure can, kiddo. Since you’re going to be a big girl tomorrow. I can play one more game with my princess.”

Sure enough, the next day after school Eva grew up into a pretty teen.

“Can I get a snack?”

“Geez, what is it with this need for snackage?”

“I’m a townie. We don’t eat except for when we come to people’s houses.”

“I bet you are loads of fun in an apocalypse.”

“Oh yeah.”

Eva rolled Romance, so instead of having her wish for love like she will do when she is older, I had her wish for friends.

Then scope the room to see if there was anyone she liked. As you can see, she is bi and has excellent taste.

And what was Fantasy doing while her daughter aged up and explored her sexuality? She was acquiring a business. I.M. didn’t have the funds to start one in his generation so hopefully this will be something to keep me entertained until Eva grows up.

Speaking of Eva, the hair and outfit style she grew up in really didn’t fit her. So she got a quick makeover.

She’s quite stunning now.

Being a teen, she seems much happier to go to school now.

Of course, I think it has to do with the fact that she can now make friends with people. She rolled popularity as her secondary and it kind of suits her. She was always dragging some kid or the other home on the bus.

But for all of her outward cheerfulness, she is the same awkward and love starved girl that she was.

But at least now, she’s got a wishing well.

“Mmmmm… Thank you for popping my lock random girl.”

“It was my pleasure.”

“How would you like to pop another?”

“PDA should totally be illegal.”

“I agree. I mean it is not nice of her to make out with our friend right in front of us. The nerve!”

“They should totally get a room.”

“Mmmm… I like all of this kissing. It is like my favorite thing in the world. I wonder if I can get other sims to kiss.”

“You’re Candace, right?”

“Yeah…”

“I’ve noticed you in class.”

“You know I was your aunt’s girlfriend.”

“So? That was then. This is now.”

“I don’t know what it is about you green skinned women.”

“Why don’t we find out?”

“Is there something about me, Moonshine?”

“Arrooo?”

“You know, if you bite me, I won’t have to worry about becoming anything else later.”

“Aro…”

“Yeah, I know. I wouldn’t bite me either. Not interesting enough, I guess.”

After being rejected by the wolf, Eva moved on to attempting to fulfill one of her wants.

Which she did fairly quickly.

“Do you notice anything new about me, Pong?”

“You have boobies.”

“Yes, and?”

“They look really firm.”

“Awww thank you!”

Oh look, Fantasy got another LTW…. Yawn…

“Mom, I love you and I don’t want the creator to kill you. So here’s a bunch of crap I have in my inventory. I think maybe it’s time to start up that business you purchased.”

“A bunch of plates, how lovely. I suppose we can start a business. I want to own five-top level ones anyway.”

“Good luck with that, Mom.”

Welcome to It’s Not Easy Getting Green. The place where I sell all of the crap that I’ll accumulate while getting the various badges.

Immediately, the three family members settled into a routine.

Fantasy stocked shelves.

Corbin made the crap as it sold out and worked on acquiring other badges.

And Evangelion worked as the sales woman.

As well as doubling as the cashier.

It seemed to work, most of the time. Although checking out sometimes became a bit of an issue.

In addition to pulling double duty at the store, Eva was also on the hunt for her supernatural potential.

“So, do you think I’ll make a good witch?”

“I don’t know… Are you nice?”

“I can be!”

“I’ll think about it.”

Not willing to rely on the witch, Eva also hedged her bets by prepping for potential plantsimness.

Unlike her mother, who had to do nothing, Eva wanted to be prepared to be anything when the option became available.

“You’re flirting with me?”

“Well, I think it would be good for your business.”

“My husband is standing right over there. I’m going to need more convincing.”

“How does best of the best sound?”

“Sounds like I need to send my daughter outside.”

“What happened to your hair?”

“I’ll fix you my little pretty!”

“By what? Making me spray for bugs? Ewwww gross!”

“I want to complain about that.”

“Just a sec, I want to make sure they are dead first.”

“Shouldn’t you be busy doing something else? Stocking shelves is my job.”

“I’m rolling the want.”

“Well, fine!”

“It’s so nice to see you hard at work, Eva. You are completely unlike my sisters who spent all of their teenage years flirting and having fun.”

“Um, about that Mom…”

“What?”

“Nothing. I just think we’ve got a lot of customers that need to be rung up.”

And we did.

Minor tip for those with businesses, mood boosters are a life saver.

And go with Juice in lieu of food. No mess to clean up and if you do it right you can get skills or badges out of the deal.

“Mmmmm… Toys… I like toys.”

“So, Mom? Do you think we can go home? We’re over halfway to level ten and I really would like to roll a fulfillable want.”

“I suppose we can, sweetie. But just for a little while.”

“Thanks.”

“Okay! Time to go!”

“Eva? Are you okay?”

“I’m fine, Daddy.”

“You don’t sound fine.”

“What could be wrong with me? I’ve got the perfect life. Perfect parents. Perfect everything. I’m just peachy.”

“Eva…”

“Just leave me alone.”

“I don’t really want to get a job, but Mom and Dad both want me to be an overachiever. It’s the only thing they’ve ever seemed to want from me. Maybe if I reach the top, they’ll love me more.”

“I just hope that this isn’t a big mistake.”

“Well, that was easy. I wonder if Mom and Daddy even noticed.”

“Eva’s an overachiever.”

“I know. I felt the wonderful glow that the aspiration gave me.”

“Did you let her know that you are proud of her?”

“Why would I need to? She should know already.”

“I don’t think she does.”

“Well have you told her?”

“I don’t think it’s my approval that she is looking for.”

“She needs to get over it and learn to stand on her own two feet. She doesn’t need my love.”

“She’s your daughter!”

“So? She’s also my heir. Meaning that she needs to be strong enough to lead the family when the time comes.”

“So by withholding your love, you are preparing her for heirdom?”

“I never said I didn’t love her!”

“It certainly sounded like it.”

“I do love her. She’s my child. But she can’t be dependent on anyone’s love. She’s got to be able to stand on her own. Like my father did. Like I am.”

“So you don’t need me?”

“I can’t be hearing this.”

“Dammit Corbin! If I didn’t need you, would I have married you?”

“I don’t know. Would you?”

“You silly, silly man. Of course I need you. You’re my husband and I roll up face wants for you all the time.”

“Well, that’s good to know.”

“Let me show you the face want I am rolling for you right now.”

“Mmmm… I can’t wait.”

Now aware of her parents’ feelings toward her, Eva tried to push through her feelings of fear and doubt.

Which was kind of hampered when she routinely wandered into a bees nest of emotion, as teenagers do.

Her parents, meanwhile, continued to stalk each other to the point of self-impaling.

Eva pretty much used the wish well constantly to gain friends and more-than-friends. It filled her Romance/Popularity self with joy. Most of the time, at least.

“Hey Eva! Want to go out sometime, call me!”

“Maybe later.”

“You’re going to throw me over for these girls? What are you? A man-hater?”

“No! I like boys too!”

“Then it’s me! You don’t like me!”

“Will you chill out!”

“Not until you answer me.”

“I hate my life! My parents only want me for the aspiration I can give them. My grandfather’s ghost stalks me and threatens me. And now my friends only want me for my body!”

“Whoa… hold it. Who said I only wanted your body?”

“Get out! Just get out! Or I’ll unlock the gate around the cowplant and I won’t be responsible for what happens!”

“Geez. Mental much? I’m going.” ~*~

I think that is a good place to end this chapter.

Content yourself with the cuteness of Anime and Bones’ kids. They are very happy in their drama free life. You’ll see them around but I don’t intend on playing the spares unless I feel like it.

Until next time, which should be soonish.

Happy simming!
