About Resource Persons
Invited Speaker-I
Dr. Bhagat Singh Bhakuni is working as faculty member in the department of chemistry,
Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi for more than six years. Dr. Bhakuni received his
Doctorate degree in organometallic chemistry from IISER Bhopal in 2014. He did his
post-doctorate from IIT Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) and also served as visiting faculty in
Forensic science department, University of Delhi. Dr. Bhakuni is also an expert in the
fields of Intellectual Property Right, Geo-informatics and Pharmaceutical Management.
Dr. Bhagat has published a large number of publications in the journals of international
repute as well as participated in several National and international conferences. His
research work has been published in a number of books of international repute.
Invited Speaker-II
Dr. Manohar Lal is currently working as faculty member in the department of chemistry,
Zakir Husain Delhi College, University of Delhi. Dr. Lal received his Doctorate degree on
“Enantiomeric Resolution of Some Pharmaceuticals” using Chromatography from IIT
Roorkee in 2013. He did his M. Phil. in Green Chemistry from University of Delhi. Dr. Lal
is also an expert in the fields of Environmental Chemistry, Green Chemistry, Analytical
biochemistry, pesticides and separation methods. Dr. Manohar Lal has published a large
number of papers in the journals of international repute as well participated in several
National and international conferences. He has successfully separated several
pharmaceutical drugs such as azithromycin, Naproxen and Levofloxacin etc.
Details of the Event:
The aim of ETRM-2021 was to share and promote the creative ideas in the field
of science as well as environment. The webinar was organized with an effort for
fruitful discussions and to spread awareness about almost all kinds of scientific as
well as environmental issues.
More than 300 participants registered for the webinar, which are from various
organizations across the country. Moreover, some participants were researchers of
international level.
The active participation from diverse organizations was greatly appreciated. The
organizations were IIT Delhi, Zoological Survey of India (ZSI), University of Delhi, NIT
Silchar, AMU Aligarh, IARI New Delhi, AITM Kanpur, GIC Bharatpur, Suresh Gyan Vihar
University Jaipur, MANU, Hyderabad; TM Bhagalpur University Bihar; Khalsa College
Patiala, Punjab; Govt Degree College, Kashmir; CCS HAU, Hisar, Haryana; IFTM
University and many more.
At the beginning, Dr. Himanshu Gupta, Head, Department of Chemistry, School of
Sciences (SoS), IFTM University, Moradabad, welcome the participants at 12:30 pm.
Prof. B.K. Singh, Director, SOS as well as Chairman of webinar, addressed by welcoming
Honourable Chancellor-Sh. Rajiv Kothiwal; Pro Chancellor- Sh. Abhinav Kothiwal; Vice
Chancellor-Prof. M.P. Pandey; Pro Vice Chancellor-Prof. Rahul Kumar Mishra, Registrar-
Prof. Sanjeev Agrawal, Invited Speakers- Dr. Bhagat Singh Bhakuni, Dr. Manohar Lal and
all the participants. Thereafter, Dr. Himanshu Gupta, Convener-ETRM-2021 presented
the outline of the webinar and introduced the invited speakers. After the presentations,
Dr. Nadia Sufyan, Co-convener, ETRM-2021, delivered vote of thanks.
Outcomes:
The different perspectives regarding environmental toxicology and its remediation
were discussed by the eminent invited speakers of the webinar. The gist of the webinar
was a comprehensive compilation of the present knowledge and experience in the
related field. The webinar was found useful for various academicians, scientists,
researchers and students.
