Dear Parents and Well Wishers
The rich and vibrant festivals of a country are an
expressive way of celebrating its glorious heritage, culture
and traditions. The festival of lights is the grandest
among all the festivals. The illuminated ambience of the
city adds an element of charm to the festival. It is not
only unique to India, but it is interesting to know that
it is celebrated in all the continents in a spectacular way.
Be it Loi Krathong in Thailand, Keene Pumpkin festival
in America, Fiesta de la Luz in South America, Las Fellas
in Spain, Kwanzaa -African-American culture, Christmas
in the North and South poles, Vivid Sydney in Australia,
they all have one common philosophy – ‘Light’ is
associated with dispelling darkness, a celebration of the
victory of good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
This festival of lights inspires us to make the symbol of
light part of our daily life. In this era, let’s contribute
in lighting up our society by spreading happiness,
tolerance, respect, integrity along with preserving our
ancient heritage.
"If you light a
lamp for
someone else, it
will also
brighten your
path."
- Buddha.
