Effective Goals

14

Your goals should be realistic and suited to your present capabilities.

15

Concentrate on results, not on being busy!

16

Don’t take the challenging characteristic (above) too far. Make sure you can actually achieve what you’re setting out to do. Otherwise, you will get frustrated and quit the game.

17

18

Include how you will measure your results so you can tell whether you are getting anywhere.

19

20

Goals need to come with deadlines and due dates. Otherwise, they’ll fade into the background with your daily hubbub, and you’ll quit playing that game.

21

22

Goals should always be framed in positive terms.

23

24

Good strategies and goals are always flexible, because nothing in this world stays the same for very long, and staying alive and on course means being able to adapt to changing circumstances.

25

26

Goals feed determination through difficult times when many others less motivated would give up.

27

Meeting your goals is 90% attitude. No one is perfect, and you’re going to have days where you just don’t do what you set out to.

28

So you can get a sense of achievement, sustain motivation, and reduce stress.

29

30

The more productive you become with achieving your goals and really make an effort to utilize good time management, you’ll find that you have MORE time for other things.
