J. How do you imagine social interaction within 10 years, taking into consideration the impact of technology on human relations?
Application: Alejandro Esteves
Social interaction and specifically communication between people has always been one of the main needs of humanity.
Communication over time has evolved and improved, trying to help people to obtain in a simple and easy way the information that they require.
Let's see a brief summary of this evolution.

As a consequence, there is a closer contact between people.
Evolution of Social Interaction
Social Interaction
At first, social interaction was only person-person or person-group, but the last decade has had a profound impact on how we interact with people, now what we see in the middle many times is this new technology. As a result, we have person-technology-person interactions.
Person Person
Because of this, people are losing touch of the most basic forms of social interaction, as talking to each other face to face, feeling each other’s presence and emotional understanding.
Social Interaction in 10 years
In the next ten years, we will see a lot of improvements and innovations on technology that will affect social interaction. Technology will be more accessible to people, data traffic will increase significantly while Internet access will increase from 30% of the world population that is now connected, to 50% or more.
We will adjust our social interaction to the new abundance of ways to interact while enriching our lives and our relationships.
Social Interaction in 10 years
Most probably the major impact of new technologies on human relations will be influenced by Social Networking.
Social Networking will redesign our social life. There will be improvements on the existing ones as Facebook or some new social networks.
We will share information all day, in real time.
That will keep us in touch with friends and family in a better way.
Social Networking
Social Interaction in 10 years
The professional interaction will be much better. Technology will help with international business and globalization, because it will help us to communicate in different languages with instant translation.
Professional Interaction
Technology will liberate people from the offices. We will see less physical work spaces and more remote working. That will help people to spend more time with their family and friends.
Social Interaction in 10 years
The most important technological invention will be the hologram, as we have seen in many sci-fi movies.
Also, we will see a lot of new gadgets, as Google glasses, smarts boards, smart watches and totally unexpected things.
Social Interaction in 10 years
However, after a period of downfall in “real” social interaction, people will start to value and concern more about real and effective communication.
Because technology brings you closer to people who are far away, but away from those who are close.
For this reason, it will exist groups of people and organizations that will dedicate themselves to rescue this human contact, with proposals like, “let's see each other offline”, zones free of WiFi, free of electronic devices and full of real-communications.
Technology will help us in our daily interactions and will be more important in our lives, but it will exist “real” interaction with others and personal meetings.
Some things never change, we will always need to belong to a social group. For this we rely on existing services and technologies, as today we can see Facebook, tomorrow we will see something else.
Conclusion
We are moving from the interaction with technology to a relationship with it. Now we say what we want to do but in the future the gadgets will know what we want.
