HOW WE GOT HERE: The last two and a half years have been ridiculous for the Charlotte Street Art scene. The Queen City is experiencing an explosion in commissioned and uncommissioned exterior and interior wall art. This infographic timeline lays out the many milestones that we considered “firsts” in the Charlotte mural art story. The range of talent, techniques, tenacity is on par to rival other cities of a similar size and in regional proximity. There are more events, festivals, and artists than we can count on our fingers and toes. All good problems. But all of this amazing growth didn’t happen over night.. Presidence is power.
