You will need:

Walk the dog

WALK THE DOG

You want to walk the dog before putting it in the tub because

you do not want the dog to go to the

bathroom in the tub.

STEP FOUR

Get the dog into the tub

GET THE DOG INTO THE TUB

This is a key part because it’s difficult to wash a dog if it’s not in a tub. Also, it is much easier to handle the dog in the tub, since they can’t

get away as easily.

NOTE: When getting the dog into the tub, be gentle and lift appropriately. Large dogs you may need more then

one person to lift the dog

STEP FIVE

Put cotton balls in their ears

PUT COTTON BALLS IN THEIR EARS

Put cotton balls in the dogs ear so that you

don’t get water in the ear canal

Note: Make sure you remember to take them

out after the bath!!

STEP SIX

Test the water

TEST THE WATER

The water should be around the

temperature you would shower in.

Most dogs already don’t want a bath! Don’t give them an ice bath or a

burning hot bath!

STEP SEVEN

Wet the dog

WET THE DOG

Start at the top of the dog and work your way down.

Make sure you get all the nooks and

crannies.

NOTE!!!!!!

WHEN WASHING THE HEAD

-Grab the dog under the chin

-Lift their head up

-Gently run water down the head

This prevents water from getting in their eyes.
